I bought a truck and brought it in for routine maintenance. I was informed there was metal in the tranny pan. $1450 just to tear it apart to diagnose. Also informed (lied to) that this would be "cheaper than waiting," only to be informed that it needed all $2000 worth of parts. My father is on social security disability, but even after repeatedly telling them that I was supposed to be the contact, they would call and freak him out on the costs. I went into the shop to settle things only to have the guy behind the desk talk rudely to me until another customer walked in. I have finally had the truck towed home (in pieces) only to see that the transmission looks brand new, not a wear spot or broken tooth to be found anywhere. The tow truck driver even joked about definitely referring them - to your worst enemy!

I really was well served. The level of knowledge shown by the staff and their concern for my vehicle put me at ease. When I got the car back, it ran like new. I will be a client of Gateway Transmission for a long time.

My experience with Gateway transmission was great. I took my daughters car to another shop first and it still had problems. Gateway fixed it and she says that she now loves the way it drives. I was impressed by the staff and the service.

Dave and Charlie have been taking care of our cars for almost 20 years now. They are honest about their costs and take pride in the work that they do.

The guy at the front desk of the Mount Vernon shop is soooo HOT. 10/10 take my cars there just for him.

We just recently purchased my daughter's 2008 Ford Focus and it was coming up on it's 90,000 mile transmission service. I did not know were to go, but my husband recommended Dave, from years ago when he put a new clutch in his truck. I was told there were several cars ahead of mine, but he and his crew got the work done, ahead of schedule and at a reasonable price. I also found out that they also do tune ups, oil changes--the works. When we need someone to take care of the Focus we will call Dave.

Everything went well. The staff was friendly. The waiting room was clean and the coffee was hot.

Absolutely incredible customer service and technical expertise. It's always hard to find a reliable and trustworthy shop, but here is a great one! I will definitely be returning to Gateway in the future.

I recently took my new car into wal mart to have an oil change done.... that was my first mistake. Long story short they put oil in my transmission! I called gateway transmission, they were able to fit me right in and make sure my transmission was ok! Max was absolutely amazing! They have friendly and knowledgeable staff, my family and I will be customers for life!

Had lubricants changed in transmission and rear-end, quick and clean with out an appointment. GOOD JOB!
