I have been using Gateway for several years---first in Oak Harbor, and recently, in Mount Vernon because it is more convenient for me. I made an appointment and my car was taken care of within a few minutes. The staff is always helpful, and I enjoy the coffee.

I’m traveling from out of state had coolent issues with my motor coach and was concerned being from out of town. I went to gateway automotive left my motor coach with them. Got a call they thoroughly went to the Motor Coach took pictures check all fluids found the source and fixed it. After discussing with them everything they did I was expecting a large bill but was pleasantly surprised. The Power Glide 2 speed transmission in my 1958 Chevy Bel-Air was slipping in high gear. I was having a hard time finding a shop that could work on the old Power Glide transmissions. I called Gateway Automotive in Mt. Vernon and talked to Andrea. She said "bring her in and we can diagnose the issue, and repair/rebuild the transmission!" I brought my car in and they did exactly what Andrea said they wood. She kept me informed along the way and even came in on Saturday so I could pick my car up. Great shop and great people!

Glad to have found a shop that would do repair work on my 35 ft. ClassA motor home. Hardly any repair shop will do major repair work on them or have a hoist that is capable of lifting them. Gateway on college way st. In Mount Vernon got me in quickly & diagnosed the problem.
