Gateway Automotive Experts (Mount Vernon)
We arrived at Gateway about noon and it was obvious they were very busy, taking appointments for the next week. After explaining many dash warning lights were flashing, Andrea talked with their head mechanic and he offered to perform a scan to determine the problems. He found the transmission main control valve was the issue, but until they checked the fluid, they wouldn’t know the extent of the damage. If the fluids were clean, a valve replacement; metal fragments would mean a new transmission. I overheard them discussing their full scheduled workload, but someone said “we need to take care of our customer“. They dropped the transmission pan, found clean fluid, made a special run for parts, and had us on the road in four hours. They could have sent us down the road, but instead, provided exceptional customer service. Those in the front office were personable, even giving attention to our very needy puppy. I would not hesitate to take my vehicle to Gateway for any service needs.
