Gateway Automotive Experts (Sedro Woolley)
We paid Gateway about $3,000 to repair the synchro for 4th gear in our aging Subaru, which admittedly is way more than the car is worth. That repair was successful, but the mechanics apparently had no idea how to reinstall the clutch cable on the clutch fork, and installed it in the wrong place, causing the cable to snap prematurely. When we reached out to Gateway for feedback, they proceeded to blame us for not bringing the vehicle back to them to fix an issue that never should have happened in the first place. I would not trust these unqualified folks to repair any of your vehicles.
I'm sorry to hear that happened Tim! Although we always strive to put the best work out there, sometimes mistakes may happen. That is why all of our work is covered by our three year, 36,000 mile warranty, intended to give all drivers the most peace of mind available. You are correct in stating that you never should have had to deal with an issue with your clutch cable after getting your Subaru repaired, but I would hesitate to claim that your service advisor attempting to communicate that your issue could be resolved at no charge to you is "blaming" you for anything at all. Our warranty, along with the constant training our technicians and advisors receive, are just a small part of why this community continues to trust us with their vehicle repair and maintenance needs. If you need anything at all in the future, don't hesitate to let us know! We wish you the best.
