I would not hesitate to recommend Gateway Transmissions. It was very cut-and-dry with them. I worked with a nonprofit organization, and the van we had wouldn't shift into the third or fourth gears. I took it into Bill. He told me what it was all about and was very accommodating. We need those vans every day to pick up our items from around the area. He got it fixed in good time and got us driving again. He was also very flexible with the followup, and he later helped us get the thermostat repaired.

Never had my transmission fixed before so I have nothing to compare it to but it was satisfactory. Rob from Gateway Transmissions, I believe was the owner's son, was very attentive. There was no waiting involved. During the diagnostics, the owner spent time with me and drove my car around so we could figure out what the problem was. It was a very hands-on experience.

The service manager, Tim, is the best service manager I've encountered at any auto shop anywhere. I've observed the technicians getting along really well and in positive, happy spirits during all of my visits. I've noticed that Chris, the owner, is well-liked and respected by his customers. The prices are very fair. The estimates are fair and realistic, not padded. The shop is clean. The service is friendly. The location is super convenient, right on Metcalf. Thank goodness, I finally found "my" auto shop.
