Moving from out of state, when I needed car repairs I didn’t have a clue where to go. Gateway was recommended by a family friend, and the rest is history. They are my new favorite mechanics. They sent me a copy of the estimate with descriptive details and photos. Very professional, knowledgeable, and you couldn’t get better customer service. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, they are in my contacts for life.

The only reason it is not five stars was communication was a little slow. My truck was in the shop for a month, with little updates on where they were on the repair. Other than that customer service was great.

Gateway automotive was a huge help when I came in with a blown gasket. They gave me options, space and information to make a decision, and most of all provided understanding and sympathy for the situation I had found myself in. Due to floods in the area, service for my car took a little longer than expected, but Avonly (front desk associate) kept me updated throughout the experience and was beyond helpful anytime I had any questions! Thank you again!!

I recently took my F-150 in here for an alignment after installing a leveling kit the day before a 600 mile roadtrip into the middle of nowhere. Not only was Gateway Automotive able to get me in same day when all other shops were a week out, but they were friendly, thorough and fair priced. Their full vehicle inspection was documented with pictures which I appreciated knowing it wasn’t pencil whipped, and they identified only items which I knew were legitimate needs like my 7 year old battery and 2 year old dirty air filter. It’s refreshing to find a shop which doesn’t push unnecessary add ons to every service. After my experience there I would trust them enough to send my Grandma to them.

I asked Gateway auto to do a Pre-Purchase Auto inspection for me. As an out of state buyer; I was incredibly impressed with the integrity that Tony showed over the process. Tony gave me a detailed breakdown with pictures on areas of concern for the vehicle in question. This undoubtedly saved me thousands of dollars in the long run. I highly recommend Gateway auto for all of your mechanic needs. I would happily pay for them to do another inspection for me.

It was my first experience with auto repairs here. I knew our car had problems and did not know how involved they were. The staff there diagnosed the problems and gave me an estimate of the parts and labor involved. The estimate was surprising but I am no expert on these costs. The work was done and it cost a lot but I was satisfied with what was done. Gateway has my trust and I will have my pickup worked on there in January.

great place—staff was super helpful, friendly, and knew their trade inside and out. My alternator gave out coming down rte 20 and they had me back on the road in about 2 hours. Free coffee in the waiting area was extra appreciated.

Tony was so helpful. I was very nervous when I walked in and by the time I walked out I felt completely comfortable and confident. Tony explained everything to me in a way that I was able to understand. Great experience here! Would highly recommend! Edit – wow I want to add that they are super friendly and don’t make you feel like you have to do any of the recommended repairs !

I came in for an oil change and had a great experience. Tony was very professional, quick, and honest about everything. Didn’t try to upsell me. Service was done on time, and the price was reasonable. Tony also made sure that my fluids and tire pressure were checked, which I really appreciated. Great service all around. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Tony the manager over there, was super amazing to deal with. Very transparent with everything. Let me know exactly what my car needed and was no pressure at all. Just gave me straight facts and super duper helpful. Highly recommended!!!

We had a great experience at Gateway Automotive in Sedro Woolley with Tony and the mechanics. They worked closely with our budget and ensured that the problem was fixed in a timely manner. Called today and got a quote from Tony to do a front axle bearing assemblies and brakes on my dodge… He got me a great deal with minimal haggling on my end. Was super kind and even funnier. Totally had me in stitches. I’d highly recommend going to gateway!

I swung by the other day because I have had some ticking in my engine . Tony & Rueben were so kind and helpful. They came out right away to look at my concern . Turns out I’m using the wrong oil . Was great service, but I left the coupon for a discounted oil change in my wallet which didn’t do any good. It said $69.99 Synthetic oil change. I hope I can use it for next time at least.

Have used gateway since moving here 4 years ago. They have been very professional and attentive to detail. If they don’t know the exact solution to a problem they will research it and get the job done. Never dad a problem Getting in right away and get my car back same day. The only delay I have had Wes the availablity of a part which they got expedited with only a slight delay of my vehicle’s return.

Gateway Automotive in Sedro-Wooleyis the best. The online reservation was great and easy to use. We showed up with our car and they were ready for us. It did not take them long to tell us what was wrong and worked with us to be able to afford what needed to be fixed. The best is that we were given a ride to and from our campsite. First time using Gateway in Sedro-Woolly and I couldn’t have had a better experience! Everyone was very professional and courteous. Enjoyed the whole time there. They even made time for a tire rotation after the original job was finished. I’ll definitely be going back!

After repairs needed to drive the vehicle for awhile before I could give and truly honest review. Having done that, I am extremely pleased with the work provided. SUV is running exceptionally well, had a annoying rattle every time going over a bump, that no longer happens. When driving, I can feel it’s a very stable ride. Gateway is through and compentent. They have my wholehearted recommendation. Thank you Jim and the entire team.

Great place to go to. They gave me a ride from and back to their place while my car was being worked on for the day. I told them I had a set amount to spend on my repairs and the manager Fidel kept the balance right at it. They were very nice people! Will go back again.

As soon as I walked in, I knew this place was honest and professional. I could not believe that they could get me right in after other shops told me a couple weeks at best. I was extremely impressed by the full inspection complete with photos and recommendations on what needed taking care of, on top of the quick diagnosis of the brake issue that I came in for urgently. The shop was not pushy in what they recommended but rather very kind and informative while giving a lot of options and real world advice versus trying to make a sell. Their work was quick and high quality and the price was very competitive, actually much less than I planned on or have paid in other shops. Cannot recommend Gateway enough. Even the oil change was less than a quick lube. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Miracle, and all of the excellent mechanics at Gateway. Seriously the best experience I’ve had at a shop. Brought my bmw in only knowing that I was leaking differential fluid. They were able to diagnose the source of the leak and get it taken care of with a pretty quick turnaround. Service was professional and transparent, and the price was fair. The next time I have an issue with my car this will be the first place I go to get it checked out.

Everything about this business is great. Personnel attitude, working space, waiting lounge, desire of the team to get the job done. They went way out of their way to make sure my vehicle was repaired in time to make the Alaska ferry departure. I could not have had a better team working for me.

Fantastic, friendly service. I love the text/online approval with pictures of YOUR vehicle, explanations of severity of issues and priority. The interface is very easy to use and it feels both honest and transparent.

Very efficient. My oil change was done in a timely manner and they even put my windshield wipers on for me! Very friendly too.

I was provided with an extremely accurate evaluation and fair estimate of the brake work needed on my vehicle. An appointment was easy to set up and the day of the appointment I was offered a ride anywhere and back when work was finished. I elected to remain on site and every employee that I met was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. Work was accomplished much sooner than estimated such that I was back on the road in a perfectly operating vehicle shortly after lunchtime. A surprisingly and exceptionally pleasant experience in auto repair.

I’m recommending to everyone to take their car to Gateway. I brought my ZR-1 in with shifter and alignment issues. All better now and they saved me a bunch on the shifter issue by repairing a part, instead of replacing a rather expensive and hard to get piece. Thank you so much Gateway. Love driving my car now.

I was on a short vacation from Seattle with my family on the island when our car suddenly lit up like a Christmas tree with indicator lights. We had the great fortune of being right next to Gateway Automotive and limped into a parking spot there. It was already after 3 PM, but the team there was able to get our vehicle in for diagnostic so that any needed parts could be ordered for the next day. They were able to replace the alternator the next day and minimize any major impacts to our Spring Break. The experience with Gateway could not have been better. I highly recommend them!

My splash plate in my Lexus got ripped off on the way to Mount Vernon for work, and I was worried about potential damage and needed to get my car checked out right away so I could get it fixed or find out if I needed to get it towed back to Bellingham. I explained my situation, these guys got me in w/in a couple hours even though they were busy, removed the splash plate and checked my engine area and oil pan to make sure there was no damage, and got me back on the road, and didn’t even charge me since they couldn’t get the parts in to fix it til the next day. I would DEFINITELY go see Gateway for any car repair/service needs if you are in the Mount Vernon or Burlington area!!

I have a ‘96 Subaru Legacy on which Gateway has repaired various issues which would have been twice the price at a dealership. Thorough inspections and estimates are provided and discussed. I religiously took car into dealership for 20 years but on recommendation by a relative I gave Gateway a shot. I wish I hadn’t waited so long. Thank you, Team Gateway.

Went to Gateway for a A/C problem. It turned out to be a difficult issue on a 22 year old car. When the repairs were completed the results were better than I could have hoped for. We are so grateful to Gateway. We brought our Escape in for a 2nd opinion and estimate for a coolant infusion problem that could run from $6000 to $12,000 depending on whether the head gasket was blown, the cylinder was cracked, or the block was cracked. When we got the call, we braced for the bad news. Instead, Gateway did some research, called the Ford dealership, and found out there was an extended warranty that would cover the work at no charge. Without their due diligence and honesty, we’d be out thousands of dollars. They only charged us for the diagnostics. They gained loyal customers and we’ll always go there first. Great experience from day one. Did a clutch rebuild for my 2007 Jeep Wrangler. Shifts like a dream now. Another place wanted to charge me $3800, which was ridiculous. They beat this by half and had it done in one full day. Will be returning here for most my future services. Would recommend them to anyone. 👍

This place is amazing! I needed a bunch of work done on my Mazda the week of Christmas, including transmission service, new belts, and brake pads, and they were able to fix all the issues within only a couple days. Miracle at the front desk was awesome. The customer service was some of the best I’ve ever received at a mechanic. She gave detailed explanations of everything that they found during their inspection and provided me with text updates throughout the process of them fixing things they found. I was also very impressed with how in-depth and informative their inspection service was. I pulled it up on my phone, and it involved pictures, severity levels, recommendations, etc. In the end, the prices were better than I expected, which was great, of course. This is the new go-to spot for me next time my car has any issues.

Took my car to get an oil change before driving to California. They found that i need a new wheel bearing and were able to repair next day. So thankful to Gateway Team to get me on the road and time. Excellent customer Miracle!!

The folks here are all professionals and treat the customers well. They had a technician out ill, but still managed to get my work done within a reasonable time. Now all is well with my transmission. Their warranty is also outstanding.

I just moved to the area and picked Gateway based on reviews and that they have multiple locations. The experience far exceeded my expectations. First, the text they send that takes you to the quotes is phenomenal. Being able to read all of the details and easily approve or decline repairs was great. Second, following the text, the mechanic calls with more information and informative answers to questions. Third, I liked out the needed repairs were presented but not pushed. It was just, here’s what’s wrong and then I had time to make my choice. Low low pressure.

Fast, friendly, hospitality, honest. Took my husband’s truck in for speedometer Calibration. They gave me a ride home. With in the hour they called an informed us that they could recalibrate the speedometer. However it could still be off. They also did inspection of tires & added air.
